摘要:For the problem of the full compressible Euler Equations coupled with a nonlinear Poisson equation in three spatial dimensions with a general free boundary not restricting to a graph, we identify the stability condition on the electric potential and the pressure related the well-posedness of the problem. These stability conditions enable us to obtain a priori estimates on the Sobolev norms of the fluid variables and bounds for geometric quantities of free surface. The results obtained in this paper and the corresponding proofs apply to the free boundary problem of full Euler equations of compressible fluids with variable entropy. This talk is based on the joint work with Konstantina Trivisa, Huihui Zeng.
报告人简介:罗涛,1995年于中国科学院数学研究所获得博士学位,后于美国密歇根大学(University of Michigan)、乔治城大学(Georgetown University)历任助理教授、副教授、教授,现为香港城市大学教授。研究方向和学术兴趣包括非线性偏微分方程、流体力学的数学理论、双曲守恒律、自由边值问题等。研究成果发表于Comm. Pure Appl. Math.、Adv. in Math., Arch. Rational Mech. Anal.、Comm. Math. Phys.等国际著名刊物。
